Working with queues
A queueA named group that tickets are placed in so you can direct people to the right check-in desk, for example General, Priority, or Escalation. A queue is a label and a grouping, not a physical line: you decide which tickets go in it and which desks work from it. A ticket can be moved between queues by a rule or by an operator. is a named group of tickets sent to a desk, for example General, Priority, or Escalation. At the desk you can see who is waiting, add and remove people, and send someone to a different queue.
Where you see queues
Section titled “Where you see queues”A queue shows up in two places, depending on your desk:
- On the check-in screen, if your station is set to work from a queue.
- At the merch table, as the fulfilment queue. See Merch pickup.
The queue list
Section titled “The queue list”The list shows the tickets waiting, with how long each has been waiting. The wait time is colour-coded so a long wait stands out. It refreshes on its own, so you can leave it open.
Add someone to the queue
Section titled “Add someone to the queue”Scan a badge, or use Add to Queue, to put a ticket in the queue.
Remove someone
Section titled “Remove someone”Remove a ticket with the remove control, and confirm. You do not usually need to do this by hand: checking an attendee in clears them from their queue.
Send someone to another queue
Section titled “Send someone to another queue”To move an attendee to a different desk, open their ticket and use Move to Queue, for example to send them to the escalation desk. See Handling problems.
