Find your way around

Once your station is set up, this is the screen you work from all shift. Here is what is on it.

The toolbar runs across the top:

  • The menu button opens and closes the navigation panel.
  • The event name and your station profile show which event and desk you are on.
  • The scan and search bar sits in the middle. It is how you pull up an attendee.
  • Your name is on the right. On a temporary sessionA short-lived sign-in that lets a volunteer or staff member run a station without a full admin account. An administrator approves each request, choosing which events the person can work and for how long, and the session then expires on its own., a countdown shows how long you have left.
  • The Settings gear opens your settings.

Open the panel with the menu button to reach your tools. They are grouped, for example Tickets, Merch, and Tools. You only see the tools your station profile includes, so a check-in desk and a merch table show different lists.

The scan and search bar is always at the top. Scan a ticket, tap an NFC badge, or type a name to pull up an attendee. For the detail on each way, see Finding an attendee.

The Settings gear opens three tabs:

  • Event. See the current event, or switch to another.
  • Station. See your device, station profile, and register, and change any of them.
  • Session. See who you are signed in as, and sign out.

Switching your profile or register here is how you change your desk’s job mid-shift without signing out.

Sign out at the end of your shift, especially on a shared terminal. Open Settings, go to the Session tab, and press Logout.
