What it does

• People sign in through a trusted outside provider and arrive on your site as a normal user, with an account you can manage like any other.
• You can offer single sign-on alongside your own public sign-up, or rely on it on its own.

Setting it up

Single sign-on is set up with EventDrake rather than switched on from the admin area. It needs verified credentials from your provider and careful matching of accounts, so it is configured and tested with you rather than self-served.

To add single sign-on or social login, contact EventDrake with the provider you want to use, and we will set it up and test it with you. Once set up, these appear as read-only entries in Site Config; see Settings.

Once it is set up

Single sign-on appears as a sign-in option on your login page. People choosing it are brought in as normal users, so you manage their accounts and roles in the usual way.
