Saved cards
A customer can keep a card on file so you can take payment later without asking them again. Saved cards appear on the order, and you can charge one directly or place a fresh hold on it.
Where saved cards appear
Section titled “Where saved cards appear”Orders → (an order) → Authorisations
Any held card and any saved cards for the order are shown here, each with the actions you can take.
Open the order and go to the Authorisations tab. Cards the customer has saved are listed there.
What you can do with a saved card
Section titled “What you can do with a saved card”- Charge the order. Take payment for the balance owing straight away. This charges the saved card and records the payment against the order.
- Place a hold. Create a new payment authorisation on the saved card, reserving the balance without charging it yet. The hold is captured when you approve the order, and lapses after a few days if it is not.
- Remove the card. Take the saved card off the order when it is no longer needed.
