Queue assignment rules

Queue assignment rules put tickets into check-in queues for you, so attendees turn up already sorted, for example VIPs to a priority desk and everyone else to a general one. First set up the queues themselves; this page covers the rules that fill them.

Registration → Queues → Queue Assignment Rules

Rules are listed in priority order; each one has its conditions and the queue or queues it assigns to.

Each rule has:

  • Name: for your own reference in the list.
  • Priority: rules are tried in order, lowest first, and the first rule that matches a ticket assigns it. Put more specific rules above general ones.
  • Active: whether the rule is in use.
  • Assign automatically: whether the rule runs on new tickets as their order is confirmed.
  • Queues: where matching tickets go. Choose one queue to send them all to it, or several to split them evenly across those queues, keeping each registrant’s own tickets together so a group is not split up.
  • Conditions: what a ticket must match, built with the shared rule builder. See Ticket rules.
  • Automatically: with assign automatically on, a rule sorts each new ticket as its order is confirmed.
  • In a batch: run the rules over your existing tickets at any time from the queues area. You can filter which tickets to act on, choose whether to touch only unassigned tickets or all of them, decide what happens to tickets no rule matches (leave them or clear their queue), and preview the result before applying it.
