Website / CMS
The Website / CMSThe area of the admin where you build and design your public site: your homepage, custom pages, menus, content blocks, files, and themes. It is grouped in the admin under Website / CMS. "CMS" (content management system) is another name you will see used for the same area. area is where you build and design what visitors see: your homepage, your own content pages, the menus that link everything together, the files you upload, and the themes that set how your site looks.
Site-wide or per-event
Section titled “Site-wide or per-event”Almost everything here can be set in two places, and the difference matters:
- Site-wide settings apply to your whole site, across every event and before any event. Your homepage, site menus, footer, files, and themes live here.
- Per-event settings belong to a single eventA single ticketed offering that people register for: one camp, one party, one conference, or one run of a show. Your site usually runs many events, and each is normally used once and then archived rather than reused (an annual festival creates a new event each year). Each event has its own page on your site, for example example.com/summercamp. When your site has only one active event, EventDrake automatically presents it as the site's main page and keeps the multi-event navigation out of the way. and apply only within it. An event can have its own pages, its own FAQ, and its own navigation.
Where an event does not set something of its own, it falls back to the site-wide version. You will see this pattern throughout: set it once for the site, then override it for an event only where you need to.
