Ticket questions
Ticket questions are the questions attendees answer while registering, such as dietary needs, a t-shirt size, or emergency contact details. You attach each question to the booking types and add-ons it applies to, and it appears at sign-up for the people it is relevant to.
What a question is made of
Section titled “What a question is made of”A ticket question has two parts:
- The question itself: its wording, the kind of answer (text, a choice from a list, a number, and so on), whether it is required, and any help text. This is the shared question builder, and the answer types are covered in Questions.
- How it is used in registration: when it is asked, and who is asked it. That is what the rest of this page covers.
Registration → Questions → New
A ticket question’s settings, the question itself, and the booking types and add-ons it applies to, each on their own tab.
Asked per ticket or per order
Section titled “Asked per ticket or per order”A question’s mode decides how often it is asked:
- Per ticket: asked separately for each ticket, for details that differ by person, such as a meal choice or a badge name.
- Per order: asked once for the whole booking, for details that apply to everyone together, such as a billing reference or how the group heard about the event.
Who is asked
Section titled “Who is asked”A question is attached to booking types and add-ons:
- Attach it to one or more booking types to ask it of people buying those tickets.
- Attach it to one or more add-ons to ask it of people who book those add-ons.
Display and editing
Section titled “Display and editing”- Admin title: an optional label for your own reference in the admin, when the question wording is long.
- Display order: where the question sits among the others.
- Visible: whether it is shown at all. Turn a question off without deleting it by clearing this.
- Allow user to edit and edit cutoff: whether attendees can change their answer after registering, and the last date and time they can, in your event’s time zone. Useful for details like a meal choice that you want to lock in before the event.
