Managing tickets
Once people have registered, this is where you work with their tickets: looking one up, editing details, transferring it, or cancelling it. This page covers the ticket record and how to find one; the other pages cover each task.
What a ticket holds
Section titled “What a ticket holds”A ticketA single booking for one person to attend an event. One person can hold several tickets, for example a parent booking for their children. Most things attach to a ticket rather than to a person: add-ons, questions, and check-in. Every ticket belongs to exactly one booking type. is one person’s place at your event. It belongs to one holder, sits on one orderA single purchase placed at one point in time, such as one or more tickets and any add-ons bought together. Each order is placed by one person, who is normally also the one paying, and has its own invoice number. When one person registers several people at once (for example, a parent booking for their children), that is still a single order and one bill covering everyone in that booking., and is one booking type. Alongside that, a ticket carries the holder’s details (badge name, legal name, date of birth), their question answers, any add-ons, its tags, a badge number, a room and check-in queue where used, and an optional public profile.
A ticket’s statuses
Section titled “A ticket’s statuses”A ticket carries a few different statuses, and it helps to keep them apart:
- Payment status: whether the ticket is paid, awaiting payment, refunded, and so on. This comes from its order.
- Accepted: whether the holder has accepted a ticket that someone else booked for them.
- Details confirmed: whether the holder has filled in and confirmed their own details.
- Check-in status: whether they have arrived on the day (not arrived, in, or out). This is set at check-in, not here.
A ticket can be paid but not yet accepted, or accepted but not yet checked in; these move independently.
Find a ticket
Section titled “Find a ticket”Search and filter your tickets, then select one to open it.
The ticket list lets you search and filter by badge name, legal name, email, booking type, and status, among others. You can show or hide columns to bring in extra detail such as badge number, room, whether details are confirmed, whether the ticket is accepted, and who registered it. Select a ticket to open it, or select several to email them together.
Working with one ticket
Section titled “Working with one ticket”Opening a ticket shows everything about it across tabs (its overview, details, add-ons, any merch, history, and related tickets), along with the actions you can take. Those actions have their own pages:
- Editing a ticket: change details, answers, tags, and the public profile.
- Transfers and type changes: move a ticket to another person, or change its booking type.
- Accepting tickets: accept a ticket on someone’s behalf, and see who has not yet accepted.
- Cancelling and refunding: cancel a ticket and handle any refund.
- Add-on bookings: manage the add-ons people have booked.
