Email identities
Before your site can send email from an address, that address has to be verified. An email identity is a sender address you have verified for your site to send from.
Site Config → Email identities
Your sender addresses, with their status.
How an address gets verified
Section titled “How an address gets verified”There are two ways an address becomes usable:
- Covered by a domain: if you have connected and verified a custom domain for email, every address at that domain is ready to use automatically, with nothing else to do.
- Verified on its own: for a single address that is not covered by a verified domain, EventDrake sends a verification email to it. The address is ready once someone opens the link in that email.
Add an address
Section titled “Add an address”- Select Add and enter the email address, with an optional label.
- If its domain is already verified, the address is ready straight away. Otherwise a verification email is sent to it.
The list shows each address, its status, and whether a domain covers it.
The default sender
Section titled “The default sender”Every site starts with a built-in sending address that cannot be removed. You choose which verified address your site sends from by default in Settings.
Remove an address
Section titled “Remove an address”Remove an address you no longer send from. Removing one that a verified domain covers just tidies the list; the domain stays verified.
