Settings
This page lists the Ticketing settings found in Site ConfigWhere your site's settings live in the admin, gathered in one place and grouped into sections by the part of the product they affect. Most settings have a site-wide default and can be overridden for individual events; a few are managed by EventDrake and shown as read-only.. For how settings work in general, including site-wide defaults and per-event overrides, see Site configuration. Most of these can be overridden per event.
The Ticketing, Registration display, Rooms, Saved bookings, Ticket edit, and Check-in settings.
General
Section titled “General”- Enable ticketing: turns ticketing on. It is often most useful per event: turn it off for an event you are running as a sub-site, or one whose registration and ticket details are not ready to publish yet. Turn it off for the whole site if you do not sell or issue tickets at all.
- Public badges and bios: gives each ticket a shareable public page that anyone can open, showing the details the attendee chooses to make public, such as a bio, name, and links to their social profiles. Depending on your other settings, a link to it can be printed as a QR code on the badge or written to an NFC badge. Leave it off to keep attendee details private.
- In and out tracking: tracks who is on-site and off-site, for example at a closed venue where you need to know who is currently onsite and account for everyone.
- Allow duplicate email: if turned off, every attendee on a booking must use a distinct email address, so each person needs their own account. Turn it on to let one person register several attendees under a single email.
Registration display
Section titled “Registration display”How booking types and add-ons look on the registration page. See Image assets for image shape and fit.
- Columns: how many booking types show across a row, which sets how compact or prominent the choices feel.
- Image shape and fit: the proportions and framing of booking type and add-on images, so every card looks consistent.
- Enable room management: turn this on when your event assigns accommodation such as rooms or cabins, for a camp or residential event, so attendees can be placed and shown where they are staying.
- Room map image: a map of the venue’s rooms to show attendees.
Saved bookings
Section titled “Saved bookings”- Pre-fill: lets people enter their details before sales open so they can submit the moment tickets go live, which helps for high-demand events that sell out fast. It is also recommended for accessibility, since it lets people fill in their details calmly in advance rather than under time pressure at sale time.
- Waitlist: lets people register their interest once a booking type sells out, so you can offer them any places that free up.
Ticket edit
Section titled “Ticket edit”- Allow badge name editing: lets attendees change the name printed on their badge after booking.
- Allow legal name and date-of-birth editing: lets attendees change their legal name and date of birth. These are identity details you may want to lock down, which is why it is separate from badge name.
Check-in
Section titled “Check-in”These affect on-site check-in. See Check-in for how to set it up.
- Require badge scan: makes an operator scan a badge to confirm the right one goes to the right attendee before check-in completes, which prevents mix-ups with pre-printed badges.
- Check-in question layout: whether the questions an operator answers appear alongside identity verification (combined), or on a separate step after it (stepped).
- Enable NFC badges: turn this on when your badges carry an NFC chip to encode.
- Write NFC on check-in: writes each attendee’s details to their badge’s NFC chip as they check in.
