Registration
Registration is where you decide what attendees can buy and how they sign up, then manage everything once they have. It covers the ticket types you sell, the extras and questions that go with them, and the tools for handling tickets after people register.
In the admin, you will find all of this under Registration in the left-hand menu. (This part of the product is sometimes also called Ticketing; both names mean the same thing.)
The attendee journey
Section titled “The attendee journey”It helps to picture what an attendee does, because that is what you are setting up:
- They choose a booking typeThe category of ticket a person chooses first when registering. Each booking type has its own price, sale dates, availability, and eligibility. Examples: Early Bird, Standard, and Premium for a party; Bunkroom, Cabin, and Villa for a camp. (the kind of ticket).
- They add any add-onsAn optional extra a person can add to a ticket, during registration or later, subject to availability. You organise add-ons into groups you define, each with its own rules for how many can be chosen and which apply. Add-ons can be free or paid, with limited or unlimited stock. (The detailed group rules live in the Ticketing docs.) and answer the questions you ask.
- They pay, and get a ticketA single booking for one person to attend an event. One person can hold several tickets, for example a parent booking for their children. Most things attach to a ticket rather than to a person: add-ons, questions, and check-in. Every ticket belongs to exactly one booking type..
- On the day, they check in.
When someone registers on another person’s behalf, for example booking a group and entering each person’s email, those people accept their own ticket shortly afterwards to confirm their details. See Accepting tickets.
