Setting up registration
This is where you build what attendees register for. A little planning here shapes the whole sign-up experience, so it is worth understanding how the pieces fit before you start.
The pieces
Section titled “The pieces”- Booking types are the kinds of ticket someone can choose, each with its own price, availability, and rules. Every ticket is one booking type. This is the foundation; start here.
- Add-ons are optional extras people can add to a ticket, such as meals, transport, or activities. You organise them into groups that carry the selection rules.
- Ticket questions are the questions you ask during sign-up, attached to the booking types and add-ons they are relevant to.
- Tags are labels on tickets you can set automatically or by hand, and use later to filter, group, and drive rules.
How they fit together
Section titled “How they fit together”A booking type is the starting point. Add-ons and questions attach to booking types (and add-ons can carry their own questions too), so you decide what each kind of ticket offers and asks. Tags then sit across the top: a booking type or an add-on can tag every ticket it produces, giving you a way to find and organise attendees afterwards.
You do not have to use all of this. A simple event might have one booking type and nothing else. A larger one might have several booking types, grouped add-ons, a set of questions, and tags feeding check-in. Build up only as much as your event needs.
