Settings

This page lists the Rostering settings found in Site ConfigWhere your site's settings live in the admin, gathered in one place and grouped into sections by the part of the product they affect. Most settings have a site-wide default and can be overridden for individual events; a few are managed by EventDrake and shown as read-only.. Rostering

• Enable Rostering: turns rostering on. This applies to your whole site rather than to a single event. Off by default.
• Shift reminder lead time (minutes): how many minutes before a shiftA block of time that needs to be staffed, with a label, an optional location, and a start and end. A shift belongs to one group and holds one or more positions. Shifts are capped at 24 hours and must fall within a week either side of the event dates, which leaves room for setup and teardown. starts the “starting soon” reminder is sent. Defaults to 15 minutes, and can be overridden per event. Set it to suit how far apart your areas are, allowing time to get across site.

Note

Each shift’s reminder is scheduled when the shift is created or its times change, so a change to the lead time applies to shifts added or retimed after it. Setting this before you build your roster keeps all your reminders consistent.

Changing these settings needs the admin role. Someone with only the scheduling role can build the entire roster but cannot switch rostering on or alter the reminder timing.
