Setting up happens on Payments → Stripe, in two steps. First you add a Stripe account, by creating a new one, linking one you already have, or entering your own API keys. Then you turn on payments for it. Nothing goes through an account until you turn it on.
For the full walkthrough of all three ways to add an account, and how to tell when checkout is ready, see Connect Stripe. For changing accounts later, turning payments off, and removing an account, see Managing your Stripe connection.

Section titled “Currency”Card payments are taken in your site’s currency, and Stripe only accepts certain currencies for a given account. If you change your site’s currency, confirm your Stripe account can accept the new one before going live. See the currency note in Settings.
